The concept revolves around the famous French phrase, joie de vivre, translating to "enjoyment of life," which pertains to the client's optimistic and carefree character. However, the concept is then retrofitted to the client's personality by creating a masculine atmosphere through mid-century modern and industrial features. Thus, the color scheme of the kitchen is designed to look professional and sophisticated yet friendly and charming. 

For the purpose of making it a friendly space, the kitchen island has a raised bar counter where close friends can watch a professional chef prepare meals for the guests. Additionally, the pops of bright colors within the neutral palette creates eclecticism, making it a happy and easy-going interior. The wall-mounted open shelves intend to provide easy access to spices and seasonings. The overall look of the kitchen is designed according to most professional chefs’ work habits, such as being organized. Moreover, it was mentioned that the client has expertise in wine and he works at a wine bar. Just like how this is a big part of his career, a high wine shelf adds to the professionalism of the room.
